In the mountains, you can enjoy hiking with your dog, both in summer and in winter. In summer, we can walk with a guide or explain the routes for a nice walk in the mountains. In winter, we walk with snowshoes and it is always accompanied.
Mantrailing
Under professional guidance, we can teach you basics of mantrailing or, for more experienced dogs and owners, offer interesting new challenges. Mantrailing can be booked per day during your holiday, or a multi-day workshop.
Detection
Under professional guidance, we can teach you basics of detection, or for more practiced dogs, we have more challenging options here at the chateau. Detection can be booked by the day during your holiday, or a multi-day workshop.
Vacation with the dog
De pyreneeën en zijn omgeving lenen zich heel goed om te genieten met uw viervoeter. Wij bieden de mogelijkheid om te verblijven in een van onze apartementen of kamers, waarbij u altijd de mogelijk heeft een maaltijd te bereiden. Het terrein bied een speelveld voor de honden, een behendigheidsbaan, een rivier om de hond te laten zwemmen, een zwembad voor de baasjes, en een terrein direct naast het chateau gelegen waar men de hond kan uitlaten. Tevens kunt u bij Yvette verschillende trainingen bijboeken.
Workshops
We can offer several workshops:
Mantrailing: 3 or 5 days During the workshop, different things will be taught. We search for lost persons and mimic reality. Suitable for starting dogs as well as dogs with experience. Our classes are adapted to the condition of the dog and owner. Through the inspiring environment, we try to teach dogs to develop their mental skills and owners to learn to read their dogs better.
Detection:The detection workshop will be mentioned here in the future.
Workshop mantrailing 3 or 5 days with stay
Arrival on the evening before the workshop and departure on the last day of the workshop. Arrival between 17:00pm and 20:00pm (we serve the evening meal), check-out at 8:30am(last day of the workshop). The rest of the days it is self catering. We serve coffee and thee during the workshop. Reality workshop!
This workshop is based on a real scenario in the mountains! Including accommodation as described above. What can you expect… After we have done a small test to see where the strengths of your dog lie, we will get to work on them. In this workshop all forms of tracking are put into action. But the end goal is to find the lost person. We will also apply agility on difficult surfaces, make an abseil with the dog, move around in a pick-up and by boat. We sleep one night in the mountains (bivouac) where we will search an abandoned village. Important is a good condition, good shoes and a little sense of adventure.
